Serik Tolukpayev, the Founder of AITAS Holding, and TOR’RE Company to Build a Hotel Complex in Katon-Karagay

Serik Tolukpayev, Kazakhstani businessman, the founder of AITAS Holding, together with Yerbolat Zhaxylykov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOR’RE company, and Alexis Delaroff, the CEO of Accor New East Europe have held a meeting and discussed possible cooperation in the construction of a future hotel complex.

The planned project will be located in Katon-Karagay district of East Kazakhstan region, which is located in the geographical center of Eurasia and borders with China, Mongolia and the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation. Parties have expressed the importance of compliance with the international standards of the hotel industry and the integration of the rich Kazakh hospitality culture. The project will be implemented using private investments with the support of the Akimat of East Kazakhstan region and Kazakh Tourism JSC.

Our company will be engaged in construction management, interaction with key partners and subsequent management of the complex.”
At the meeting, an initiative was also announced to create an Expert Council for the development of local standards for the popularization and commercialization of the national standard of the hotel business with the involvement of representatives of international hotel operators, specialized educational institutions such as Glion University, Switzerland. This initiative received support from the national tourism development operator Kazakh Tourism JSC and other market participants. The work of the council will be headed by Christoph Schleissing, CEO of TOR’RE Hospitality Management, a real expert in the hotel industry with more than 20 years of experience in different countries and regions. Schleissing managed such well-known hotel facilities as Hilton Luxembourg, Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa in Egypt, The Millennium Resort Mussanah in Oman, Rixos Borovoe and The Ritz Carlton in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The deadline of the hotel construction will be announced as the project progresses.
